How to Unlock BMW MG1CS201 ECU Using MMS Flex Boot Mode

Image
Magic Motorsport Flex programmer released an important update yesterday: supports Bosch MDG1 ECU boot mode unlock without shipping (No RFT). Here comes the latest Flex user’s test report on BMW Bosch MG1CS201 encryoted ECU unlocking: It takes so long time. But finaly did it. Use standard Magic Motorsport power supply. Boot mode unlocking ok. After unlocking it become standard bench protol as everyone have already. After this unlocking and if they flash back on stock will Ecu be locked again? Mope. It will stay unlocked. The methods are different. This is security bypass by hardware glitch, then unlock with patch. Autotuner doing this with software glitch.

How to Fix MMS Flex VW Golf 8 DQ400E Clone Failure

Image
Problem: Tried to clone VW Golf 8 DQ400E gearbox TCU with Magic Motorsport Flex programmer but won’t connect. All pinned up correctly and on power supply. Won’t connect at all. Can hear it when pinned up. Any advice? Solution: Some users reported that VW Golf 7 works fine but Golf 8 won’t connect. Use a multimeter to measure your Flex pins, it’s a common issue for them to have no contact inside. Check wire and pins. Try to disconnect and connect back power supply to gearbox during connection establishing. If still not working, send log to MMS support or use other device. Launch X-prog3 read it fine. Read it with Launch + Xprog/ Launch X431 ECU programmer and it reads fine.

Solving Flex Compatibility Issues with SID209 ECU

Image
Problem: It’s a Ford Transit 2018 with sid209 TC1797 ecu. Hardware number gk4a 12a650 ua. I’ve tried bitbox and Flex programmer . But hardware not compatible (obviously see hw not listed). Any solution? Solution: Sid209 GK4A version you need to boot unlock. Can’t write via obd straight away. Boot for readout, never had any luck with VR’s on GK4A. Same as Autotuner . Do it in boot mode or use other devices. Some had good success with Trasdata & PCM Flash.
