  Foxflash new user report: VW Golf VII 1.6 85kw DCM6.2V OBD The first time was Seed Key Error with file from PFT, after that I made with ODIS via diagnose adresse 01 update and then I sent the file to a professional tunnre. Writing modified file without error. Error sk 1 seedkey is usualy the voltage problem. on 1 write you have 12.3v for a lot of ecu’s to low to write. then get error sk1 seedkey on your 2e write you get 14.5v so that ecu need more then the 12.3v to write your ecu. in some cases is 14.5 to high. 13.5 is mostly ok. in obd writing always use a charger that have supply function for programming. not only battery voltage. www.iecutool.eu

 When reading your remap with foxflash programmer via obd2 (i.e DCM6.2V) and this error pops out ERROR SEED-KEY what does it actually mean? Its pretuned and seedkey changed so cant work via obd. Well basically its saying that someones allready been on there. It prevents obd2 read/write, so only way is to bench or bdm your way in. This is just another from of antituning protection used by tuners, companies as well as independent ones. It doesn’t actually prevent anything but on some cases makes things a little more demanding on tools.   Foxflash new user report: Got a new work table and power source, first test with new setup. Audi A6 C7 3.0tdi 160kW ECU EDC17CP54 Read ok on bench Write ok bench Checksum by tool. Adblue off. No problems, all good. You reset all adblue related stuff with diagnostic software. (I used launch) Then removed ecu from car, read soft from ecu, sent it to tuners, received modified file back, write the modified file back to ecu, installed Ecu to car, started the car and all the errors was gone, simple as that, no need to disconecct something, if needed they will let you know.   Problem: Problem reading JTAG on Citroen DCM3.5, foxflash reported "Error OSR"; What is the solution? Solution: Double check wiring diagram. Or try to reverse the jtag rainbow cable. This is the way how the customer did it.

 Anyone write with obd mode on Renault SID309 by Foxflash ? Is it safe? Need luck. One of our customers made one last week with no problem. Another user read one but can not write via obd.  What’s the difference between the FormulaFlash and Foxflash? Is it the same as Flex or FC200? 1.FormulaFlash is not the same as Foxflash . FormulaFlash works on bench and boot for now. It will be updated with OBD later. Foxflash supports different ECUs E98, E83, Simos XX etc. It have diffrent car list like foxflash etc. Have for example msd/msv bench, tcu al551/2. One tool can do this and another tool can do that. They are complementary devices. 2. It is not the same as Flex even though they look similar. This tool is a single unit. Flex uses benchbox. Flex costs something like $8000 for all modules. 3. Formulaflash’s checksum function is very powerful and has many exclusive algorithms and advantages. Please check the checksum list for details. Formula Flash is not a clone tool.

 Which is a better tool to read Porsche ME7.2 ECU? MPPS: it reads, but has risky to brick ECU. One of our customers bricked a ME7.2 Porsche Boxster 2001 3.2L. KESS V2: it reads, but has risky to brick ECU. I bricked it with kess. Foxflash: fox works perfectly on this ecu. If bricked this ECU with MPPS or KESS, you can saved with FoxFlash via Boot mode.
