Foxflash Failed to Read VAG DL501 Solution: Remains at 0%

Image
Problem: I’m having trouble reading my DL501 gearbox at foxflash programmer . I have to disconnect and re-connect several times, but the reading remains stuck at 0% . Any solution? Solution: You need Bench MFC cable. You need to use multifunction cable that is included in foxflash kit. There is a ignition switch. 12v+ and 12v Ignition. The ignition is under the on/off switch of mfc cable. Pinout directly from device to gearbox doesn’t work. Press read not get id. When tool told you put on or off. After put off, CLICK read then put on After..not before. Tested dl501 gen1 all okay. Even cloning. If use Godiag TCU adapter, before with ECU adapter and have to press the 120ohm button briefly when building the connection then it read immediately. Just try or plug K15 in and out. Example: Audi A6 C7 DL501 Cloning. Read OK Write OK

How to Clone Passat B7 EDC17C46 with Foxflash

Image
Here is the real user’s working experience on VW Passat B7 EDC16CP46 ECU cloning using foxflash : It’s a VW Passat B7 2013 CFFB with Bosch EDC17C46 ECU. The ecu was broken, car didn’ t start, reading on bench was not working. The car wouldn’t start, some water had gotten into the ecu through the plastic plug. The car could be diagnosed on the ecu but there was no error. I tried to read the ecu in the bench but every time it told me to disconnect and reconnect the power and nothing happened. I had another ecu with the same part number from a Passat CC, so I backed it up in the bench. I saw that the one from the car didn’t work in the bench and I tried in boot mode, where initially it didn’t read it, it had to be read the password, I read in the obd mode the password, obd cable connected to the bench, save password on the pc, then I read the ecu for backup in boot mode. I used the cloning module in foxflash where I added the file read in boot from the defective ecu and ...

How to Fix Foxflash OBD Read Error on BMW MSD80

Image
Problem: Foxflash failed to read a BMW MSD80 DME in E92 335i by OBD. Voltage is 13.6V. Solution: Foxflash MSD80 OBD takes long. For example, BMW 325i e93 took 30 min. Make sure you have a battery stabiliser hooked up. Write when quicker. Foxflash doesn’t have bench for this ecu. Remove the ECU out of car, Obd breakout on the bench with pinout and read with OBD protocol. Use godiag breakout box. Do lot of this method. Or read and write it with foxflash in boot mode. Flex and KESS3 are great in these on bench mode.

Foxflash PCR2.1 Lost Connection and Boot Recovery Solution

Image
Problem: On ECU VAG Simos PCR2.1 I accidentally wrote wrong file with foxflash over bench. And now I lost communication with it. I made backup of eeprom and flash. Now I just try every method to write again flash. I tried with ktag boot mode but have acces only to eeprom. And with Fox Flash I have error REMOVE AND GIVE POWER. Does anyone know potential solution? Possible solutions 1). Try to turn on the power supply in a few seconds as he asks you to. Some users turned the power on after a few seconds as he wanted and then it started. Also using foxflash make just set voltage to 14v , they will not communicate under 13.5v. ( see picture he used 13.4v). 2). Try this and write the All file back. 3). If tried all above and still cannot recover in boot mode, the ecu is bricked and will not live, look for a new one and turn off immo. They don’t have to match you strictly by number, you can certainly preflea it with an odyssey that suits you. Lucky for you the PC...
