  Foxflash new user feedback: Bench, Boot, Clone, it all works for EDC17CP44 Audi A6 3.0 TDI 2017. Read Original ECU and New ECU in bench mode (with bench box). Then prepared Clone file with Foxflash clone feature. Then wrote clone file in boot mode (without bench box). For boot mode write there are 2 steps 1) BFT recovery 2) then Boot write both prepared flash and original eeprom. Note for 1) & 2) there are 2 different connection configs. (The manual has all the details). It took about 40 minutes to write flash. And 2 minutes for original eeprom file. Car started immediately!!! Used checksum of tool for both flash and eeprom. Why not wrote clone file in bench mode ? It is possible only on boot? In the instructions it says it might not work in bench. They recommend boot mode. People here reported sometimes working sometimes not working.

  Problem: I have a problem with Foxflash. Cannot open Manager to activate foxflash software . Error "Only one instance at a time". How to fix it? Solution: It’s already running. Restart your computer for starters. Open manager once. If you’re not seeing anything install dotnet framework 4.7 and timesync auto to off. www.iecutool.eu

After update you can update the documents to folder if those were lost on update. so you can move current documents to folder: file:/// C:/Windows/SystemBin/data/DOCUMENTS/help/. You can find the docs in your own foxflash sw folder or here: Documents.rar After the docs are moved. Go back one folder, select documents with right click. Change rights to read only.   Foxflash released new software V1.4.3. This version adds more VR files and fixes checksum. Check the update information How to update Foxflash software to V1.4.3? If you want to update foxflash to 1.4.3, do the following. 1. Uninstall the 1.4.2 manager. 2. Install an older (i.e 1.3.4) manager, then it will offer to update. 3. Install the updates. Instal older version before 1.4.2, than it will give you too update on 1.4.3 then download. If your foxflash reports error "unhandled exception has occurred in application" when updating foxflash to 1.4.3, uninstall manager 1.4.2, reinstall an older manager, then update again. Feedback: 1). I did a VR reading under 1.4.3 and the date was today. 2). I updated on 1.4.3 everything works,date and time is current on new version.

 Foxflash user feedback: Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 motorcycle immo off with Foxflash successfully. Read and write via OBD. How to read this ecu with foxflash ? Buy adapter Fiat 4 pin to OBD. And read write by OBD. You can make the Ecu Immo off. But this is not going to solve dash issues! Like security code bypass for the dash. You can make only ecu immo off. After that you have to change the eeprom in the dash. And then you can enter a code in the dash. And start the bike without a transponder.

  Problem: I need to write immo off data on DSG DQ250 MQB using foxflash programmer. I can read Backup, flash, EEPROM. I can write Backup, immo off flash I can’t write only eeprom, immo off EEPROM. Any solution? Here is the clue. DQ250 MQB has two EEPROM Int EEPROM & ext EEPROM. No solution with Foxflash. Foxflash can’t Read &Write ext EEPROM. You will need other tools, Flex, Autotuner, Launch X-prog3 or Launch ecu programmer etc.

 Reading BMW Bosch EDC17C50 ECU with foxflash on bench. But it kept stopping at 44% when writing file on bench using clone function (Built-in function). Opened it and worked right away in boot mode. All ok. Cloned ecu successfully. Password BFT read. 15 minutes write. When you clone the Bosch ECU you have to look at what it says EEPROM PROTECT, then bench blocks the ECU, it has to be because of boot.

  Problem: Read and write IVECO DAILY 3.0 CR 170hp EDC17C49 with foxflash programmer . If i Perform Cheksum YES. it asks to load the ori files.   Problem: Mercedes VITO, edc16c2 ECU. Foxflash read ok via OBD, OBD Write ok but car doesn’t start. Solution: It was tested to work couple times so far, but maybe checksum wasn’t done with foxflash on this case. Checksum is fucked up. If read with foxflash, power supply is important. Radiator turning on while writing. If car does not start, read on bench, calculate checksum manually in winols/Lsuite and write in bench car start ok. crd2 has known issues so far on MB.   Problem: No possible to read and write edc16c3 PSA ECU with foxflash on bench. Any solution? Solution: Bad connection. Check the bench pinout in foxflash. You must add a ground wire for bench box because now you connect only the resistor. If still not working just remove resistor and connect directly the brown wire to ecu. www.iecutool.eu

  Question: Is it possible to clone a VW dq381 gearbox TCU with foxflash? No, Foxflash does not have DQ381 coverage yet. Same as KT200. There are several tools to clone DQ381 TCU. 1. FormulaFlash Cloning DQ381 successfully. Also cloned DQ200, DQ250, no problem, very fast and stable. Bench mode. 2. Alientech KESS3 Done a gearbox Dq381 clone no issues at all, perfectly. Tested a few golf 8 obd and bench, really fast and stable. 3. FLEX Flex will clone DQ381 via OBD and bench mode. 4. CG FC200 FC200 supports VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat gearbox cloning DQ380 DQ381 5. Yanhua Mini ACDP with module 19. Module 19 will clone DQ380/DQ381 gearbox without soldering. 6. OBDSTAR DC706 DC706 supports gearbox cloning for DQ380 (0DE), DQ500 (0DE), DQ381 (0DE), DC706 will also change mileage for DQ381 (0DE) gearbox. 7. Launch X431 ECU Programmer Launch X431 ecu programmer is pretty good on cloning VAG gearbox TCUs including DQ381 (0DE).

  Problem: Foxflash failed to read BMW F11 Bosch EDC17CP45 ECU via OBD? Solution: Read it on bench. It is safe. BMW EDC17 none of them worked on OBD. Read obd is vr. Original file not found in database. Foxflash software does not work on obd for BMW EDC17 ECUs. zf8hp only on obd, ecu you need to do it on bench. ZF8HP over OBD is good job by Foxflash. Do it on bench and also with 13++ voltage. Its very more safe just if you do it minimum 13volt.
