  Foxflash read Mercedes Benz Bosch EDC16CP36 ECU via OBD or Bench? Both OBD and bench mode work fine. For example: MERCEDES-BENZ S 350 CDI 235HP 2008 EGR/Swirl Flaps OFF EDC16CP36 on Bench with Foxflash. Read ok, write ok, checksum with foxflash. Over OBD was also read and write. But on this ecu for some functions you can do them only on bench/boot, because some of the map sectors are not transferable over OBD️. Bench mode: OBD mode:

 Here comes the new user feedback from one of the Foxflash users: VW Polo GTI 2017 1.8TSI 192HP Simos 18.1 ECU. OBD VR read ok. Hit "Read" and get vr file online. OBD Write ok. Checksum correction with foxflash. Simos 18.1 VR reading need luck. There is no support for Golf 7 gti engine. golf mk7 vr was no problem, I went to do a customers mk7.5 — same ECU — no VR available. Had to read and write in boot mode.

  Problem: It’s a Ford Transit Custom 2017 with SID211 ECU, Foxflsah reads id ok but reading error. Any idea? Solution: Charge maintenance at 14V+. Read and clear all defaults in your ecu and try. If not good repeat this and remove the positive connector on your battery for 5min and try again. Normally reading is good. User report: 1). Transit Custom 2018 SID211 OBD password ok OBD read/write ok checksum by foxflash. 2). SID211 2017 Ford transit/tourneo 2.0tdci, obd2 read and write all ok. 12 mins write, 5 min read.

  Problem: Failed to run Foxflash software after login? How to fix program not starting after this screen? It’s Windows 10 system. Solution: Make sure foxflash is plugged in and showing as dfb in Device Manager. Kill the app through task manager. Unplug FoxFlash USB. Open FoxFlash manager. Click Activate. After the screen process started plug-in the USB cable and press OK. After that open FoxFlash. If the problem exists, contact your customer service.

  Problem: Has anyone already unlocked the password on esc17c60? I extracted the password with foxflash but I can’t find the procedure to rewrite it. I used bench but error password. I can read flash and eeprom in boot mode but not rewrite and not start. Solution: If you put it in a folder foxflash will automatically find it. Save the extracted password in the same folder as new file the write new file. Usually, we can read this ecu easily on bench without password. But if the ECU is updated or replaced in the dealership, you may need to do it in boot.

  Foxflash will read and write Opel Insignia 2.0cdti Bosch EDC17C19 ECU in both bench and boot mode. Bench mode To read and write use the following driver: → BENCH TRICORE → OPEL → TC1796 — OPEL → EDC17 C19 bench pinout to EDC17 C19 If cannot read ecu on bench mode, try boot mode. Boot mode Connect with the multifunction cable the following pinout and the boot shown below.
