This is one of those updates where you already know it’s going to change how people work day to day… not just a "nice feature". It is really usefull is to pass you a copy of this before you write a map. It’s a great new feature for the Kess3. With GPS, altitude measurements and the datalogging it will add a whole wealth of data for many tuners around the world to add to their services and quality remapping.

Solution for Autotuner KESS3 Audi MG1CS011 Read Failure

  Problem: Tried to read an Audi Bosch MG1CS011 TC298 ECU with Autotuner and Alientech KESS3 programmer. Both devices failed to read this ECU via OBD. Trid to bench it with kess3. It showed no support for this ecu. Any idea? Solution: No way after 06/2020. No virtual file no way. This hw version is really TC298 and is not supported by Autotuner by OBD, neither via Flex/KESS3. Bench is not possible due to security level. This ECU can not be actually tuned by commercial available tools and protocols.

Flex vs KESS3: Reading Renault SID321 ECU

 Renault Continental SID321 reading review: MMS Flex failed to read SID321 via OBD VR. It says no Virtual read available for this software version on the server. Cannot do it on bench when no vr on server. Did it with Alientech KESS3 . Autotuner will also do this ECU. AT is the best in this ecu.

Alientech KESS3 Adds Boot Protocol for GM E67

  Problem: It’s a Seat taraco 2.0tdi 2023 model. Tried to read Bosch ECU MD1CS004 (HW80) with Autotuner . It doesn’t want to read it too high protection but I did a virtual read via obd I’m afraid to write it so it doesn’t crash. Error: Authentication error. This ECU has new protection and is not yet supported. Solution: ok with obd mode by Autotuner. OBD is ok for this Version. Virtual is always safe. Obd read and write no problem. Obd read and write safe and fast with charger battery. There are some versions you can’t read it, locked version, 309 AA , M, T. If you want to do adblue off there is another solution.

Alientech KESS3 Adds MM11MPHW002 ECUs for Motorcycles

  I just had an issue with this ECU while trying to perform a Full OBD read Renault SID307 with Flex programmer . At the moment of connection, Flex managed to read the password, and right after that it started patching the ECU. A few seconds later, the cooling fan turned on, and shortly after, during the connection process, the ignition switched OFF and then an error appeared. The car no longer starts. So the only solution we found was to read the ECU in Boot mode, but fortunately we had the password file read via OBD. Therefore, we had to repair the Flash file and write it in Boot mode. FYI: Foxflash programmer can also read SID307 ECU via OBD without issue. Example: Read and wirte Renault SID307 via obd. Follow the instructions for how to keep ignition on for the procedure.
