OBDSTAR DC706 Fails to Read Renault SID321 ECU Fix

Image

The Renault (Continental/Vitesco) SID321 ECU has variations often referred to as "old" and "new" versions. Older Versions: -2022. Earlier factory software. Often easier / better supported in tools. Generally easier to read/write/clone/ Tool Compatibility Broader (KESS3, AutoTuner, FC200, DC706, Flex etc.) Newer Versions: 2022–2025+): Updated factory software (more secure, latest maps) Frequently causes "No Virtual Read" errors in tools even with FLEX. More restrictions; may need updates or bench/boot mode. DC706 cannot do newer SID321 versions. Try to use Autotuner . Some users reported Autotuner does more SID321 versions.

Hyundai SIM2K-140 IMMO OFF Using OBDSTAR G3 Bench Mode

Image
Performing a full IMMO OFF on a Siemens/Continental SIM2K-140 ECU directly through the OBD port is generally not possible. To completely disable the immobilizer, you must modify the internal flash or EEPROM data. While some advanced programming tools can read and write parts of this ECU via OBD, the proper IMMO OFF process requires Bench Mode or Boot Mode connection. The standard workflow to achieve IMMO OFF for a SIM2K-140: 1. Read the ECU Data (Bench/Boot Mode) You cannot rely solely on the OBD port because full memory access is required to bypass the immobilizer security. Use a hardware programmer like the OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3 / DC706 , Xhorse Multi-Prog , PCMTuner, or Foxflash . Connect directly to the ECU pins on a workbench using the programmer’s specific wiring diagram. Read and save both the Internal Flash and EEPROM data to your computer. 2. Modify the Files (IMMO OFF Software) Hardware tools read the files, but you need specialized software to locate ...

How to Fix MMS Flex VW Golf 8 DQ400E Clone Failure

Image
Problem: Tried to clone VW Golf 8 DQ400E gearbox TCU with Magic Motorsport Flex programmer but won’t connect. All pinned up correctly and on power supply. Won’t connect at all. Can hear it when pinned up. Any advice? Solution: Some users reported that VW Golf 7 works fine but Golf 8 won’t connect. Use a multimeter to measure your Flex pins, it’s a common issue for them to have no contact inside. Check wire and pins. Try to disconnect and connect back power supply to gearbox during connection establishing. If still not working, send log to MMS support or use other device. Launch X-prog3 read it fine. Read it with Launch + Xprog/ Launch X431 ECU programmer and it reads fine.
