How to Fix MMS Flex VW Golf 8 DQ400E Clone Failure

 Problem: Tried to clone VW Golf 8 DQ400E gearbox TCU with Magic Motorsport Flex programmer but won’t connect. All pinned up correctly and on power supply. Won’t connect at all. Can hear it when pinned up.

Any advice?

Solution:

Some users reported that VW Golf 7 works fine but Golf 8 won’t connect.

Use a multimeter to measure your Flex pins, it’s a common issue for them to have no contact inside.

Check wire and pins.

Try to disconnect and connect back power supply to gearbox during connection establishing.

If still not working, send log to MMS support or use other device.

Launch X-prog3 read it fine.

Read it with Launch + Xprog/Launch X431 ECU programmer and it reads fine.
