Foxflash Unlock VW Passat 2011 Simos PCR2.1 on Bench

 Foxflash new user report:

VW Passat 2011 1.6 tdi
Simos Pcr2.1
Unlock eeprom
Benched flash + eprom
All in foxflash, all in bench. no problems read/write/checksum correction.

How to do pcr2.1?
Connect ecu in bench
1.First Read flash
-it will save flash + password on flash
2.read eprom
3.now write back same eprom you readed in step 2
-it will ask for obd patch and unlock, select yes. (Eprom unlock)
3. Send flash for modify
4.save mod file in same archive where password is.
5.open mod and write it. (Flash unlock).
6.drop ecu in car and off you go

 Which tool to read this computer BMW MSV70 DME? Foxflash : Yes, via BDM Jtag Connect multifunction cable as follows: Solder the dip/sip connectors on the pcb and do a link: Insert Siemens/Marelli adapter as in photo: To read and write use the following driver: → BDM/ JTAG MODE → BDM MPC → MPC55x/56x Ktag / Kess V2 : Need luck. The best option is BDM. Sometimes Kess v2 and ktag clone read ok but failed during writing, checksum error. Ori Kess done well OBD but takes long. Easy to remove and run in bdm.  I'm trying to read one Bosch MED17.4 from a Peugeot 207 1.6t; ecu pinout is correct, but pcmtuner pcmflash shows failure, I'm using module 71 tc1766 FLASH… So, any clue? Solution: There are 2 types of pinout for med17.4. Try both. see which one works. Bosch MEDV174 IROM TC1766 EGPT PSA Pinout Feedback: Solved. Mine work with type 1 and module 71 TC1766.
