PCMTuner Cannot Identify VAG PCR2.1 on bench?

 Question:

Pcmtuner flash can't identify the VAG PCR2.1 ECU. Checked with Flex and ECU Is already unlock,but pcmflash with module 57 and Its pinout can't identify and read.

Answer:

module 57 is OBD you cannot do on bench!
PCMflash does not do OBD on bench — the module is OBD as in ecu must be fitted to car
this ecu comms is via vehicle CEM unit and dash board.

try BSL mode here:

or use foxflash, it will read/unlock pcr2.1 via OBD or bench.

 Which tool to read this computer BMW MSV70 DME? Foxflash : Yes, via BDM Jtag Connect multifunction cable as follows: Solder the dip/sip connectors on the pcb and do a link: Insert Siemens/Marelli adapter as in photo: To read and write use the following driver: → BDM/ JTAG MODE → BDM MPC → MPC55x/56x Ktag / Kess V2 : Need luck. The best option is BDM. Sometimes Kess v2 and ktag clone read ok but failed during writing, checksum error. Ori Kess done well OBD but takes long. Easy to remove and run in bdm. PCMTuner PSA Bosch MED17.4 Pinout

 I'm trying to read one Bosch MED17.4 from a Peugeot 207 1.6t; ecu pinout is correct, but pcmtuner pcmflash shows failure, I'm using module 71 tc1766 FLASH… So, any clue? Solution: There are 2 types of pinout for med17.4. Try both. see which one works. Bosch MEDV174 IROM TC1766 EGPT PSA Pinout Feedback: Solved. Mine work with type 1 and module 71 TC1766.
