 Good news! PCMTuner team has updated the pcmtuner smart dongle. They have removed the encrypted chip, no overheat issue anymore.

The old dongle can get hot, but it is normal because it is LED.

What is the difference between PCMtuner and PCMtuner Dongle?

Pcmtuner is a complete hardware device with future expandability linked to the pcmtuner software suite. The dongle allows you to run the pcm flash modules etc.

 Which tool to read this computer BMW MSV70 DME? Foxflash : Yes, via BDM Jtag Connect multifunction cable as follows: Solder the dip/sip connectors on the pcb and do a link: Insert Siemens/Marelli adapter as in photo: To read and write use the following driver: → BDM/ JTAG MODE → BDM MPC → MPC55x/56x Ktag / Kess V2 : Need luck. The best option is BDM. Sometimes Kess v2 and ktag clone read ok but failed during writing, checksum error. Ori Kess done well OBD but takes long. Easy to remove and run in bdm. CG FC200: FC200 programmer does not support this computer.

 I'm trying to read one Bosch MED17.4 from a Peugeot 207 1.6t; ecu pinout is correct, but pcmtuner pcmflash shows failure, I'm using module 71 tc1766 FLASH… So, any clue? Solution: There are 2 types of pinout for med17.4. Try both. see which one works. Bosch MEDV174 IROM TC1766 EGPT PSA Pinout Feedback: Solved. Mine work with type 1 and module 71 TC1766.
