PCMTuner Failed to Read EDC17CP14 on Bench Solution
Today test pcmtuner with audi a4 edc17cp14. Cannot read on bench and cannot write file by obd.
Cannot write file by old
It failed to verify checksum when I try to write by obd
Solution:
EDC17CP14 after 06.2009 has a Anti Tuning Lock, it not open on bench must use
OBD module or BSL
try both pinouts, if you cannot do bench then OBD or bsl
you have no other options.
pcmtuner pinout edc17cp14 version 1 and version 2
But for older CP04/CP14 it's is better to use OBD protocol module 50 as EDC17U01/U05/CP04/CP14 use can communication.
WITH ECU IN CAR :
1. ID ECU INFORMATION
2. SEARCH VZ-PERFORMANCE FOR VR FILE
3. MODIFY FILE
4. WRITE FILE
There is no "vr mode"
Vr simply means the file is virtual and not from the actual ECU
1. After identified you have hw and SW numbers
2 go to vz-performance and search for the file you need with the details
3 download the file and modify for tuning etc
4 write file via obd
