  Question: Is it safe to read Mercedes W204 Delphi CRD.11 with Autotuner by OBD? Here is the clue. Yes, it is safe. Only OBD on Autotuner. Turn on a charger with at least 60A, because the cooling fan is working at max. Use voltage regulator. Read and write takes 10–15mins each so connect charger. But some people crash this ecu with autotuner obd. Most time when ecu has modified file before. But the customer don’t know. Same as Foxflash, better don’t use AT for Delphi CRD ECUs, use Flex. Solution: This Bosch number is 0 281 037 101. 037 you cannot do it with Foxflash, even KESS3/Flex. EMS3160 ECU: Autotuner or Flex for Read/ Write?

 As titled, Flex and Autotuner which is better to read and write Renault / Dacia / Mitsubishi Continental EMS3160 ECU? OBD or bench? Autotuner is better on this ECU. Use AT, 99% of chance VR will be available. Autotuner>CMD>Flex, in this order. Obd and bench are based on VR. Flex does not work on some versions. There is no VR in Flex for this version.

Fix Autotuner OBD Write Error on PSA DCM7.1A

  Problem: It’s a Peugeot 508 keyless model. Autotuner read DCM7.1A — Delphi OK via OBD, unlock ECU ok, but fail to OBD write after unlocking ECU. Solution: You have to hold and press key against the column the entire time if the writing yes. Follow instructions exactly. Hold the key in your hand throughout the writing process. Always works with key held against column, it shows on autotuner instructions where to hold key. Try holding key next to steering column as shown, and see if dash lights up If lights come on you can rewrite the file with key again just make sure key is exactly where is should be as shown.

Foxflash Audi EDC16U31 Bench Write Error Solution

  Problem: Foxflash programmer reads Audi Bosch EDC16U31 ECU ok, but failed to write this ECU on bench. Any solution? Solution: First voltage is too low, try to write with voltage over 13.5V. Second, it can be up to checksum. Make cheksum on winols, not with foxflash. Don’t do checksum automatically when writing back original. If fail to write back original file, open and use bdm or try to flash original. You can easily recover it in boot with k-tag/ kess3 as well. KESS2 or mpps is better on this old ECU.

  Problem 1: It’s an Audi a6 3.0tdi 2005 with Bosch EDC16CP34 ECU. Read and write with FoxFlash in bench mode. Ecu had been soft bricked and car didn’t start. Solution: Edc16cp34 has problem with checksum. Always do checksum manually (in winols/Lsuite etc). User feedback: Feedback: Original ecu file from original-ecu website flashed back. Everything works good. Problem 2: Edc16cp34 Tuareg. Foxflash Read bench ok. Write stopped at 90%.   Problem: Tried to read and write Porsche med17.1.6 (tc1797) ECU with foxflash . Reading was okay with the original but I can’t write with new one is there any idea or tips about this type? Error: Uncorrect file 014000-OTP sector not writable. Solution: So need to import ONLY maps, now theres changes on otp area on that version your trying to write. Needs some manual winols editing to make that new file compatible to be written on foxflash. Tool give you info about OTP adress, its the important thing. Some flashers are skipping this block, some not. Try boot. bench read all on old, write all on new ecu or via boot You need to rewrite the OTP in the file. You need to find the sector that Foxflash suggests and enter it from the old firmware into the new one. It would be good if you had WinOLS. www.iecutool.eu

  Foxflash read and write Citroen Jumper 2.2 ecu Visteon DCU 102 successfully. Read ECU in boot mode. Foxflash will read Ford Visteon DCU by OBD, PSA cannot. Write ECU via OBD. It stopped for a moment at 60%, it said it was checking the checksum, but then the writing continued fine. The writing took about 20 minutes in total.

  Problem: Just bought myself FoxFlash to clone dq400e. It gets ecu data but does not read. Am i doing something wrong? Solution: You have to follow instructions correctly. Pres ok then turn key on not before. Otherwise will fail to get id. Same thing happens on DQ250 MQB. Option 2: Or read via obd with GT105 and GT107 . Option 3: Godiag also released a 9 in 1 gearbox adapter which is also compatible with foxflash. With the gearbox 9 in 1 cable, you can also read DQ400E gearbox with foxflash on bench.
