VAG DQ381 Gen2 TCU Read Error in Xhorse Multi Prog Troubleshooting

  Problem: Xhorse Multi prog cannot read VAG DQ381 Gen2 gearbox TCU with bh1g0401 bootloader. Multi prog says it does not support this boot version. Connection failed. Any idea? Here is the clue. Multi prog detects the boot version is 401. It is gen2 DQ381 TCU. No tool supports Gen2 dq381. Can’t be done yet with any tool. Gen2 protocol is not supported. Everyone is waiting. Only few company for remap purposes, but with special procedure for unlocking the mcu.

  Problem: No driver option to choose after launching PADflash software . Any idea? Solution: Hit "Active FW" first, and then start software. Or change the computer date/time to 2025/08/01. Then restart software.
