A customer failed to read VW Jetta 2013 EDC17CP14 with pcmtuner module 71 on bench. Here comes the solution: Dealer updated, need to do in bsl 53 boot mode. 2 Methods to Read VW Audi DSG Gearbox with PCMTuner

 Question before entering: How to build DSG connector for EE & flash read/ write on PCMtuner ? I have built connector as in photos, but it’s not easy to find relay with 720 ohm resistance, i used 320 ohm relay coil resistance to enable L- line power auto control, does it affect the PCM tuner unit? I will try Tactrix open port, also is it necessary to add 120 ohm on parallel for can L&H . Solution: Your pcmtuner has this control circuitry already hence the message would you like to control l line automatically!! The only requirement for dsg on bench is to provide 1 X 12v permanent power hence using a breakout cable ( godiag gt107 gearbox adapter ). There are 2 ways to bulid connectors to read DSG gearbox mirco and eeprom for cloning purposes: 1st method is to read on bench using external power supply (gt107) and it works perftectly. gt107 breakout of gt105 has switched and permanents.  Question: I need to read Renault Kangoo 1.5dci 110hp SID310 with pcmtuner boot mode . I do not find (B11 ) it's NF1 ?? Solution: You can read sid 310 via pcm tuner boot module 53 BSL (open ecu and connect boot, cnf, or resistors to pcb). Fits any TC17xx ECU that does not require password retrieval. Can PCMTuner be Used as Passthru J2534 for ODIS Xentry GDS etc?

 Has anyone tested pcmtuner on xentry software for Mercedes Benz? Yes, PCMTuner tested working as a J2534 passthru device for Mercedes. You need the version of software called XENTRY Pass Thru. pcm tuner does not work with MB SD C4/C5 standard OpenShell version (XDOS). But w203 and w211 older not all works because they need a multiplexer. 2005 upper all works like with tactrix openpoprt 2.0. People has tested it but with older cars not connect with all modules. This is a known issue with j2534 passthru. J2534 doesn't work with older k line cars full stop. The passthru cannot use Vediamo 5 as well, only version 5 because vediamo 5 doesn't support Passthru. How Long to Get the PCMTuner Tuning File?

  Question: When you use PCMTuner VZ-Performance user account to order a tune, for example a dpf delete tune. How long is the turn around time on the tune file? I do Mobile programming and am curious if I read the ecu and send the file to be modified should is it fairly quick or does it take several hours? trying to figure out if it’s quick enough to stay on scene or go to next job and come back later to finish the job. Answer: Depends on request, simple on/off enhancements or full e85 stage 4 with several logging sessions…..file service is not about speed, its about quality. We would rather have a delete that took 45mins to process over one that took 15 minutes, and threw a fault next day…unless your a flash and dasher who would just ignore customer when he calls to complain, simple deletes can be working deletes. File services on average take 10mins — 1 hour I’ve found depending on vehicle and file request.

 Has anyone read any DSG available from pcmtuner on pcm flash key? I have adapter bench godiag gt107 . Do I need anything else? Yes, pcmtuner does quite a few DSG gearbox TCUs, you need adapter or switch box as needs a permanent 12v supply. gt107 breakout of gt105 has switched and permanents, you don't need additionally another 12v power supply. with gt107 you need to be able to switch power manually, gt107 has switch.
