Foxflash VAG Simos 18.1 Error Patch File?

 Problem:

It's boot mode read file and I tried to write VAG Simos 18.1 with OBD using foxflash software.

Tried with 13.5v and without external power. Tried with original and mod file.

What this error mean?

Troubleshooting VAG Simos 18.1 Errors-Foxflash Solution

Solution:

You cannot write a boot file via obd, simos 18,1 obd is calibration area only file in obd. Users need to understand that the OBD VR file for simos 18.1 is a special file that contains only calibration data.

Open ECU and read it in boot mode.

Foxflash : Yes, via BDM Jtag Connect multifunction cable as follows: Solder the dip/sip connectors on the pcb and do a link: Insert Siemens/Marelli adapter as in photo: To read and write use the following driver: → BDM/ JTAG MODE → BDM MPC → MPC55x/56x Ktag / Kess V2 : Need luck.  I'm trying to read one Bosch MED17.4 from a Peugeot 207 1.6t; ecu pinout is correct, but pcmtuner pcmflash shows failure, I'm using module 71 tc1766 FLASH… So, any clue? Solution: There are 2 types of pinout for med17.4. Try both. see which one works. Bosch MEDV174 IROM TC1766 EGPT PSA Pinout Feedback: Solved. Mine work with type 1 and module 71 TC1766.
