 What is this for? I see there is a box in the pcmtuner package.

How to use the transistor given by PCMTuner

It is MMBT2222A.

Spare transistors used for GPT circuits, lots of people damage these by connecting wrongly to ECU so these are replacements if it happens.

they cost $0.22. you can find even on ebay.
