PCMTuner or CG FC-200?

Image
Question: Hi, Pcmtuner or FC-200? Which one is better? Here comes the table comparison: PCMTuner vs FC200 in ECU capabilities *Keep updating… Summary: FC200 has more protocol FC200 can only do checksum fix online, checksum won’t work if the subscription expires. FC-200 works only on Bosch ECUs, So for Magneti Marelli, Continental or siemens pcmtuner is better If you want to used for dpf, egr, adblue off and remap, PCMTuner is better FC200 only some BMW ECU can be done via OBD PCMTuner interface cannot do BMW ECUs (EDC17xx etc) In conclusion, depends on what is the main purpose of your buy. FC-200 could be useful for BMW ISN from Ecu or maybe for some Ecu cloning, but only some of them because most of MEDC17 needs adaption of OTP and password or immo transfer for successful cloning. If the main purpose is Chip tuning, PCMTuner is a better buy because it can calculate checksums and it is cheaper.

Can PCMTuner be Used as Passthru J2534 for ODIS Xentry GDS etc?

Question: Can PCMtuner be used as Passthru j2534 to work with other programs? For example ODIS, Xhentry, GDS2, Techstream, MDflasher and other Passthru programs! Has anyone tested it? Answer: Yes works with other flashers and many pass-thru soft like techstream, forscan, VIDA and lots of others tested. You have to test on your side. It’s a scanmatik 2 pro (SM2). It installs as scanmatik interface so any software that works with scanmatik as passthru will work. It works with VW Audi, GM, MB, BMW ISTA. PCMTuner team has tested before. But you need to test again. Some tested on GM GDS2, it is not a big problem. VAG ODIS can work with pcm tuner too. Some also test with Renault clip (check here ) iecutool.com engineer has tested the pcmtuner with techstream v17.00.020 without issue. You are free to test with Ford ids, Bmw ista, xentry etc. It is a bonus feature. We are not responsible for the damage. But when you do that, you need to choose pcmtuner driver. So our pcm
