Foxflash Simos 18.1 Error Unlock Password Write Solution

Image
Problem: Hello, I have a problem when writing simos18.1 with foxflash , the ecu is connected in boot. (I am sure it's connected correctly because I checked it over 20 times and was able to read password and then files and do the write all successfully). When I try to write back by doing write all and use the original _all file it writes without any problem. When I write the original separately by either doing eeprom or flash it gives an error saying "error unlock password write 1". Same thing happens when I write modified file back. Solution: Ensure the password file password_adv is located in the Dfb main program folder. Path: \Program Files (x86)\FoxFlash Manager\foxflash\DFB Technology folder. Remove all resistors and boot from ecu, Connect up power+canH+CANL and do a bench OBD get info. then disconnect from ecu..now do bench mode password, read password (delete old password from folder first). then disconnect bench and read flash eprom. Power off

PCMTuner Failed to Read Kia EDC17CP14 on Bench?

Image
Problem: Any way to read the edc17cp14 kia with pcmtuner in bench mode with 71 module. I test many ecu but no results. Solution: First edc17cp14 pinout is for Hyundai/Kia. Do not try read until ID successful, need 14v. Tprot must not be TRPOT3 or TPROT11- if so need do OBD. If failed to read it with module 71, then try read by OBD. If it can read by OBD, then ecu TPROT is to high for bench mode. You can do obd it work but takes more than 2 hours. or read by foxflash on bench. foxflash Hyundai Kia EDC17CP14 pinout To read and write use the following driver: → BENCH TRICORE → HYUNDAI / KIA → TC1796 — HYUNDAI KIA → EDC17 CP14

Foxflash EDC17C66 "Error Unlock Password" Solution

Image
Problem: Mercedes Benz EDC17c66 problem "error unlock password" on bench when writing with foxflash tool . The best is that first time when I was writing file all was ok but when I want second time write same ECU with other file next day, this happened. Solution: The error message "error unlock password" typically indicates that the ECU is locked and requires an unlock code before it can be programmed. This can happen if you have attempted to program the ECU with an incorrect or corrupted file, or if the ECU has been tampered with in some way. There are a few things you can try to resolve this issue: Check that you are using the correct programming tool and software for your ECU. Make sure the tool supports the ECU you are working with and that you have the latest version of the software. Try reading the original file from the ECU and saving it as a backup before attempting to write a new file. This will ensure that you have a working backup in case
