Yes, pcmtuner does quite a few DSG gearbox TCUs, you need adapter or switch box as needs a permanent 12v supply. gt107 breakout of gt105 has switched and permanents, you don't need additionally another 12v power supply. with gt107 you need to be able to switch power manually, gt107 has switch.   Question: What’s this message of pcmtuner ? this error appeared. ‘Unable to Use Selected Interface J2534 Scanmatik -SM2 USB’ Solution: The fact your interface hung means there was an issue. Clear everything and have a tidy place to work with just ECU and LAPTOP. Disconnect everything. Restart laoptop. Turn on/off pcmtuner power . Restart pcm-flash. Redo all connections SLOWLY and recheck. Then try to read. You do not need a battery just use a power supply. EXTRA POWER is not the answer for not reading.

 What is this for? I see there is a box in the pcmtuner package. It is MMBT2222A. Spare transistors used for GPT circuits, lots of people damage these by connecting wrongly to ECU so these are replacements if it happens. they cost $0.22. you can find even on ebay.  As titled, here is the instruction to remove a chip of the old pcmtuner dongle to avoid dongle hot problem. The new dongle has removed the chip before delivery. The guide here is for dongles manufactured after June 8th, 2022. to remove the chip, print some weld oil on chip make hot air degrees to 280 use your hot air hot about 40s-1 min till can remove the chips confirm each boot don’t short verify on laptop after all done. New version of PCMtuner dongle solves overheating problem
