Fixing Foxflash Issues with Audi EDC17C74 ECU Cloning

 Problem:

Trying to clone a Audi Bosch EDC17C74 ECU with foxflash, but failed.

Error "OTP sector not writeable".


Foxflash Failed to Clone Audi EDC17C74 ECU

Solution:

You cannot 1:1 clone vag edc17, there are otp sectors.

EDC17C74 is not possible to clone with any tool, because this ecu is immo VI generation. Immo VI gen you must adapt on car. You can do only immo off.

Just do immo off on the new ecu and ready to go, can’t make clone on these due to otp sectors.

Foxflash : Yes, via BDM Jtag Connect multifunction cable as follows: Solder the dip/sip connectors on the pcb and do a link: Insert Siemens/Marelli adapter as in photo: To read and write use the following driver: → BDM/ JTAG MODE → BDM MPC → MPC55x/56x Ktag / Kess V2 : Need luck.  I'm trying to read one Bosch MED17.4 from a Peugeot 207 1.6t; ecu pinout is correct, but pcmtuner pcmflash shows failure, I'm using module 71 tc1766 FLASH… So, any clue? Solution: There are 2 types of pinout for med17.4. Try both. see which one works. Bosch MEDV174 IROM TC1766 EGPT PSA Pinout Feedback: Solved. Mine work with type 1 and module 71 TC1766.
