FoxFlash Voltage is Unstable Solution

 Problem:

I am having an issue. Just got the foxflash unit. Trying to read an ecm.

It starts out with 12.3volts, I get the leave power on message and connect to internet message then 30 seconds later I get the error message.

About 20 secs in to it the voltage drops down to 7.7volts, after I get the error message the voltage goes back to 12.3

Is the equipment no good?

obdexpress.co.uk engineer replied:

CP18 ecu needs power at least 13–14v due to large power capacitors.

You will need to invest in bench variable power supply like most tuners use, this tool also require 24V for some Argri + truck etc.

Power supply must be rated for voltage, you can find bench 0–24v 5amp quite cheaply like amazon.

For example in foxflash bench box we connect 24v here.

Customer's feedback:

OK….Update…. I put the 14v in fox flash. Hooked up a bench power supply, and set at 14v. Worked perfect! Thanks!
