 Question: I've been looking at KT200 and the pcmtuner . Is the kt200 considerably better or just better, more stable than pcm tuner? Answer: They both are good tools but in different ways. PCMtuner has a lot of obd modules for Asian etc, but cannot do any BDM Jtag work or Agri and plant like KT200 . KT200 has more new protocols and with the possibility of reading TCUs than pcm. But it does not have tuner account and tuning service for tuners. pcm tuner has better technical support and no annual fee. kt200 uses an annual subscription model for updates. Each tool has their own capabilities, no all tools can do read/write perfectly. Buy both, PCMtuner has very good coverage but can only do certain bench jobs (edc17/med17/mev17) and limited boot. It depends on your needs, no one tool is ever enough. The 2 machines are complemented. The more tools, the more work you can perform.

 Some users had problems reading Mercedes EDC16CP31 ECU with fetrotech tool . Tried all listed pinouts on pcm tuner list, no connection. Says s1&s2 pinout error. Users found a few different pinouts for this ECU and none of them worked. Solution: Please see attached for Mercedes-Benz EDC16CP31 on fetrotech.  Which pcmtuner module to read this ecu ACDELCO E83? Answer: ACDelco GM from Chevy impala etc NOT with PCMtuner. PCMTuner will not read ACDELCO E83. You will need MPM programmer . Mpm tool will read the following E83 ECUs Astra 1.4 2007 Vectra 2.5, 2.8 2011 Insignia 2.0 2015 Insignia 1.6 Check MPM coverage before operation.

 Fiat Ducato Edc17cp52 ECU works perfectly with pcmtuner . Fiat Iveco EDC17CP52 bench read/write without problem in module 71. Here comes the pcm tuner pinout to edc17cp52 It's good. A lot of users did it in bench module 71 reading and writing ok without any problem. Requires capacitors on gpt connections. Need GPT1 +10uF or 100uF cap and extra ground at pin21. FYI: only Fuso Canter Euro 5 CAN-bus (EDC17CP52) is obd.
